The team Vets Over 35s are located in south Manchester and play in the Cheshire Veterans League Top Division.

The squad list this campaign features nine ex- top-flight players, with a collective 1,801 Premier League matches.

This star-studded roster also boasts 222 top division goals and over 320 global appearances.

The squad feature one forward, who netted thirty-seven goals in 117 appearances for Newcastle United after joining them for £9m from German league side SC Freiburg in 2012.

"That movement is what I'm after. It's enjoyable."

"We really haven't ceased chatting about it - I was calling my mother and brother on the journey home.

"They were all friendly, shaking our hands after the game - it was like facing a group of regular guys.

"Now we are eager for the second fixture."
